Using biochemical principles, DMK has formulated a range of skin treatments and products designed to educate skin to perform like healthy, youthful skin. By matching formulations with the body's own chemistry , skin is encouraged to respond in a positive manner. DMK's revolutionary concept of REMOVE, REBUILD, PROTECT, MAINTAIN, matches an individuals biochemistry with the appropriate skin therapy.

DMK works with all skin types and each treatment for each client is bespoke.

REMOVE: Treatment begins with a deep cleanse to rid pores of cellular debris and dirt. Then a suitable method of exfoliation with enzymes or acids is used to increase oxygenation to the tissues. Healing Vitamin C is utilised in almost every product to kick-starts collagen synthesis.

REBUILD: DMK's world famous enzyme mask is the main component of every treatment. It encourages oxygenation of the skin cells by opening the capillaries so that fresh oxygen and nutrients can flood the skin. It works via reverse osmosis, meaning it also back flushes the skin to remove any toxins or debris which are preventing your skin from functioning properly. A pulsating feeling and tightening of the mask will be experienced in most cases. Once this is removed, a road map of capillaries will be visible on the skin. This is known as the PLASMATIC EFFECT.

PROTECT: The skin is then protected with vitamin C and other antioxidants, to prevent any environmental damage.

MAINTAIN: Maintaining your results at home will protect your skin for longer and increase effectiveness of the treatment. Your DMK therapist will prescribe you products which will best suit your skin type/condition.

What does Enzyme Therapy treat?

Anyone and everyone will benefit from enzyme therapy. Treatments are especially good for healing skin conditions such acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, premature ageing and sun damaged skin.

What can I expect during the treatment?

DMK treatments are very different to traditional facials. It is solely designed to give you proven results and long term healthy, functioning skin. It is not designed for relaxation, however a lot of people find it very relaxing.

Please be aware that the treatment includes an enzyme mask which is left on for up to 30-45 minutes. The mask will feel tight as it dries & you will notice a pulsating sensation under the skin as your capillaries dilate to bring fresh nutrients and oxygen to your cells. This is called the plasmatic effect - true oxygen therapy from the inside out.

Are there any side effects?

Redness from the Plasmatic Effect can last around 20 minutes. Other side effects are rare but can include slight redness, irritation or mild itching, temporary hyper-pigmentation and swelling for up to 24 hours. Slight flaking, dryness and peeling may be present for up to 72 hours post treatment.

How many do I need?

Results are noticeable from your first treatment, however a course of 3-8 sessions is recommend. Your first few treatments can be 2-4 weeks apart, then every 30 days until the skin is functioning well. Future follow up treatments can be carried out every 6-12 weeks depending on person. This should always be followed with continued use of the home care prescriptives to prolong results and maintain healthy skin. Using other brands will mean your results may take longer.

Pre Treatment Care:

Avoid drinking alcohol the night before and on the day of treatment
Drink at least 1.5 litres of water the day before and on the day of the treatment. This will regulate body temperature.
Do not exercise immediately before or after the treatment to keep the body cool.
Inform your practitioner if you are taking any medication, vitamins or supplements.
Do not expose your skin to UV rays at least one week before the treatment.
Do not exfoliate (including acids) less than one week before the treatment.

Post Treatment Care:

Keep the area dry and clean for the rest of the day, avoid touching the skin.
Do not expose your skin to UV rays for 2 weeks after the treatment.
Use a daily sun screen (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) minimum factor 30.
Do not wax/thread/pluck or use bleaching creams for 2 weeks after the treatment.
Avoid perfumed products.
Do not pick or scratch the area.
Avoid very hot baths and showers, steam rooms and saunas for at least two weeks.
Avoid swimming in chlorine for 1 week.
Avoid exfoliating the skin for 1 week.
Avoid rough sports for 3 days.
Avoid make up for 24 hours unless prescribed otherwise by your practitioner.
Stick to using products recommended by your practitioner.

DMK Enzyme Therapy Level 2 Single Treatment £150 (90mins)

A more advanced, targeted treatment designed for corrective results. These facials combines DMK’s signature enzyme work with advanced protocols to address concerns such as acne, pigmentation, ageing, and chronic inflammation. Must have previously had a Level 1 Enzyme and the required patch tests.

A treatment plan of 3-7 tailored treatments are recommended for long term benefits. Each treatment performed every 7-10 days and will also include a starter kit of products.
